What is a Sidepot?

Sidepots are actually easy to understand. A sidepot situation happens if another player bets $100, but you only have $50 at the table. You can go all-in on your $50. If you win the hand, you get only $50 from your opponent (and the rest goes back to him if no one else was in the hand). If two other players bet $100, and you only have $50, then you would win $50 from each of them. Then the winner between the two of them would get the remaining money (the sidepot). You can not get more money from someone than how much you put into the pot. So in this situation you could get maximum of $50 from each player in the hand. If someone else went all in but had less $ than you (lets say $25) and you win, you get all of their money. If they had won, they could only collect $25 from everyone in the hand.
